Psychoanalysis

Why Psychoanalysis?

Psychoanalysis is a chance to be brave.

It’s all about going deeper into your feelings, confronting what you’ve ignored or not noticed, for a certain period of time. You will learn how you have, knowingly or unknowingly, embraced ways of coping that protects you and others from feeling pain, and sometimes, anything at all.

For those who have experienced trauma, psychoanalysis offers an opportunity to heal from deep-seated emotional scars, ones that may have been inflicted intentionally and those that have accrued over time.

Meeting multiple times a week gives you the safety and comfort of walking through your voyage with a trained therapist, who is as invested in your journey as you are.

But isn’t once a week enough?

What does this mean if you are unable or simply not ready to engage in more than once-a-week therapy? Does this mean you will be shortchanged? Does this mean you won’t be getting the same care and attention as someone who does come to see me more than once a week? Not at all!

I am committed to giving everyone I work with the same level of compassion, commitment and dedication. What it does mean is that your journey with me will be longer, possibly be more challenging, and, at times, even more painful because of the feelings you will need to hold onto until the next week’s session.

But don’t worry. I’m with you every step of the way.
